Jovie is the ultimate smile solicitor, an adventure seeker and a disabilities advocate. She joined the Mountain Shiba Ambassador team in January, 2022 to help spread awareness for dogs with neurological disabilities. Although she navigates the world a little differently, Jovie is more than exuberant to tackle any obstacle that comes her way. As a special needs dog (although seemingly unaware), she is the youngest member of her 5-dog pack. Originally from Mexico, Jovie was rescued in 2021 by Colorado Paws and now resides in Waynesville, North Carolina with her sisters, Julip, Raya, Mavis and Mazzy. She loves camping, traveling and going on adventures around Western North Carolina and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Jovie provides animal-assisted therapy & has a loud bark of advocacy for disability awareness. Soon she will be exploring new life adventures as a therapy dog & is excited to bring disability awareness & lessons about resiliency & kindness to children in her local schools. Her favorite activities are playing with soft fuzzy toys, chewing on sticks and snuggle time with her mom.
